Welcome to the 8th International Symposium on C–H Activation (ISCHA-8). We are delighted to invite researchers from around the world to join us in Nanjing, China, on July 10–12, 2026, for an international gathering dedicated to the latest advances in C–H activation and related catalytic transformations.
ISCHA-8 is hosted by China Pharmaceutical University. The symposium aims to provide a high-level international platform for scientists working in C–H activation, catalysis, and related fields to exchange ideas, share recent discoveries, and explore emerging directions in this rapidly evolving area of chemistry.
Since the first meeting was held in Beijing in 2012, the ISCHA symposium series has gradually developed into an important international forum for the global C–H activation community. Previous meetings have been successfully organized in several countries, including France, Canada, Japan, Germany, and India, bringing together leading experts and young researchers from academia and industry. Through its high-quality scientific programs and active discussions, the ISCHA series has played a meaningful role in promoting collaboration and advancing research in C–H functionalization and related catalytic processes.
Building on this tradition, ISCHA-8 will feature a distinguished lineup of internationally recognized speakers who have made significant contributions to the field. The symposium will include plenary lectures, keynote lectures, invited lectures, and flash Talks providing a vibrant platform for scientific exchange and discussion.
The scientific program will cover a broad range of topics related to C–H activation, including:
Transition-metal-catalyzed C–H functionalization
Radical-mediated transformations
Asymmetric catalysis
Mechanistic studies and reaction design
Applications in complex molecule synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and materials science
Poster sessions and flash presentations will provide valuable opportunities for young researchers to present their work and interact with leading scientists in the field. Outstanding poster contributions will be recognized through Poster Awards, further encouraging the participation of early-career researchers.
Located in the historic city of Nanjing, one of China’s most culturally rich and academically vibrant cities, the symposium will offer not only a stimulating scientific environment but also a welcoming setting for meaningful discussions and collaborations. We hope that this meeting will bring together colleagues and friends from across the world, spark new ideas, and inspire future advances in C–H activation chemistry.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Nanjing in July 2026 for an engaging and memorable symposium.
